I record moths in the garden at Bubble HQ and in the surrounding areas of Dalby Forest and in the North York Moors here in North Yorkshire. By submitting the records at the end of the year to the local recorder (my area is in VC62), I hope that I’m making a contribution to the study of moths in the area. This section shows highlights of the records for each month between April and September each year. This does not mean that I’m not mothing for the rest of the year, it just means that it’s a little quieter. In fact, some months may report zero results…that’s not much to write about! Hopefully, you’ll enjoy seeing the moths and should you have great moth facts/stories/successes/failures then let me know in the comments at the end of a post.
